L'1 de gener de l'any vinent, el iuan xinès es convertirà en moneda oficial a Zimbabwe després de les discussions mantingudes entre els dos governs durant una visita d'estat del president xinès.
Això farà que la moneda xinesa sigui igual a Zimbabwe amb el dòlar nord-americà, el rand sud-africà i la pula de Botswana, amb l’euro que no juga cap paper en aquesta equació, potser un recordatori agut de la negativitat que la Unió Europea ha demostrat contra Zimbabwe.
